Friday Harbor Labs is known throughout the Marine Biology and Oceanographic field as a world-class research lab and educational institution. It is located just outsisde of Friday Harbor on a beautiful campus overlooking the harbor. It is a division of the University of Washington, and has students in residence year round. While the Friday Harbor Labs campus is officially restricted to educational use, they do offer tours -- and you can visit them at the Friday Harbor Labs website here.
